Q&A with Shergoh Alkilani: New Jersey Falling Behind Due to Fear of Progress, Must Innovate to Stay Competitive

JERSEY CITY, NJ -- Shergoh Alkilani started his career in 1995 working for a New Jersey regional real estate developer and builder of multifamily residential apartments and retail shopping centers. At age 16 he founded Visual i/o Solutions, a provider of information technology services to small and medium sized businesses and retailers. He continued to operate both businesses while attending Rutgers University, and before completing his under graduate studies he left to pursue his dream of developing, building, and owning multifaceted real estate projects. In 2001, he formed The Alkova Group (later to become The Alkova Companies), a vertically integrated assembly line of related companies with a focus on efficient operations throughout the spectrum of real estate practices. Alkova has now become a recognized brand throughout the real estate community in the tri-state area. With his background in real estate and start-up businesses, as well as his friendship with Robert and Dominick, he co-founded Alliance Outdoor and acts as the company’s Financial Officer and Director of Business Development.
