Jeff Balsdon is the Senior Director of Data Centre and Cloud Operations at Rogers Communications. He is an experienced technology leader with a demonstrated history of working in the high tech and telecommunications industry. At Rogers, Jeff is accountable for the end to end customer experience for Rogers Data Centre customers and responsible for Rogers Data Centre operations, both collocation and the public cloud offerings.

Kirby Peters, Director - Critical Facilities, BMO Financial Group
Kirby Peters has over 30 years of experience in the construction, maintenance, engineering and design industry that includes office buildings, airports, data centres and other high-tech facilities. Kirby is currently the Director, Critical Facilities for Bank of Montreal where he provides planning and facilities leadership and operation management oversight for mission critical facilities globally, including data centers, trading floors, call centers and select office towers. Prior to joining BMO Kirby spent 5 years at Hewlett Packard as the Managing Principle where he led the start-up of a Canadian consulting engineering practice specializing in Data Centre builds and optimization. This new practice enabled him to participate in several very exciting data centre build and retrofit projects as a consulting engineer. Prior to HP Kirby worked for Ehvert Engineering as a Senior Associate from 1997 to 2010 where he gained practical experience in the design and build out of critical facilities and Black & McDonald from 1985 to 1997, where he lead and participated in the business development, engineering, design build and operation of a wide variety of projects ranging from critical IT spaces to office buildings, army bases and airports. Kirby is a Professional Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Applied Sciences, Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University, Kingston.
J. Todd Raymond, CEO & Managing Director, fifteenfortyseven Critical Systems Realty, LLC
As a partner at 1547, Mr. Raymond is involved with overseeing facility operations while sourcing and capitalizing business development opportunities. Mr. Raymond has a history and reputation for successfully assessing and implementing data center strategy – in terms of both property and tenant acquisition, and building enterprise value, taking companies from start up to executing an exit strategy. Before joining 1547, Mr. Raymond was the Senior Vice President of Acquisitions for The Telx Group, Inc. – one of the largest data center operators in the world. At Telx he served on the Board of Directors and has held the roles of CEO, President, COO, General Counsel, Controller and Corporate Secretary. During this tenure, he guided the company through multiple financings, acquisitions, SEC registration and two sales to private equity firms. Prior to joining Telx, Todd was a founder of Stratus Services Group, Inc., an engineering and staffing services company, and served as its General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. During his tenure he guided Stratus through multiple private capital raises, the acquisition of over a dozen businesses, and in April 2000, the Initial Public Offering of the company’s stock on NASDAQ. Mr. Raymond holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Fairfield University, a Juris Doctor (JD) from Albany Law School of Union University and is completing a Master of Laws (LLM) in Finance Law from lIT Chicago-Kent College of Law. He is a member of Young Presidents Organization (YPO), the Wine & Food Society of New York and the American Corporate Counsel Association as well as multiple bar and professional organizations.
Dave Sterlace, Global Head of Data Center Technology, ABB
Dave Sterlace is the Global Head of Technology for the Data Center Industry Sector at ABB, and brings with him more than 25 years of experience in critical power. Dave is responsible for ABB’s technology approach, portfolio and partner development in the data center sector. Dave also speaks at industry and technology events globally as both a subject matter expert and a moderator. Prior to his current role, Dave has held numerous positions at ABB including leading ABB Low Voltage’s Vertical Marketing in the U.S, Global Critical Power Segment manager, Global ABB key account manager, and regional business development and sales roles. Industry experience includes custom ATS and generator paralleling systems and regional sales representative roles in Silicon Valley for diverse critical power and semiconductor capital equipment manufacturer client bases. He is the past Chairman of the Marketing Committee for The Green Grid, an industry organization whose mission is to drive accountable, effective, resource-efficient, end to end ICT ecosystems.
