NEW YORK, NY -- Despite the many challenges across the world, the mission critical industry continues humming. Last week, CAPRE was delighted to chat with John Sabey, CEO of Sabey Data Centers, to pose some questions about the state of the game from Sabey’s perspective. CAPRE’s CEO & Founder, Brian Klebash kicked off the conversation with a general, but essential question -- How has the pandemic impacted the various areas of the industry – from leasing to acquisitions and everything in between? And specifically, how has the pandemic impacted Sabey Data Centers? “It’s been both a positive and a challenge. The Pandemic has shifted operations around in terms of how we do things on the construction and the operations side,” replied Sabey. “We’re doing a lot of testing, tracing, and isolating. None of our employees have tested positive, but we’ve had vendors and contractors who have been impacted. “One of the unique things was, from an existing customer usage perspective, from March to April, the electricity usage in our data centers were up on average of 15%-20% month over month.
